An excerpt from "My Covenant with
God and My Church" about Tithes & Offering
TITHES AND OFFERINGS: I will
regularly give tithes and offerings to the Lord
declaring Him to be Lord of my life. I recognize all
that I have has been given to me by God and I willingly
give according to the Biblical pattern:
- Tithing - Consistently
giving ten percent of my total income establishes
God as being first in my life.
- Offerings -
Sacrificial giving beyond my tithing plants "seeds"
in God's work that return great blessings.
- Alms - Special gifts
of mercy help those who are in desperate need. These
gifts are separate from my tithes and offerings.
I also realize through this
covenant with God and my church, I participate in our
Outreach Ministry sending my church "into all the world"
for Christ. (Mal. 3:8-11; Matt. 23:23, Luke 6:38; Matt
28:19).
If you want to help us with other
projects, all giving above your tithes will be used for
projects around the church. Currently, we are focusing
on our outdoor sign.
Remember giving isn't just money,
connections, contacts, professional services help, etc.
